River in a Van?

Year 3 explored a ‘river in a van’ from the Yorkshire Dales River Trust on Tuesday. We looked at how erosion and deposition happened and labelled all the features in a river from its source to the sea. We also learnt about the many rivers that flow into the River Ouse and why the river in York floods.

After lunch we found minibeasts in some river water and identified them using microscopes and an identification key. A very interesting day!

Dramatic Times…

The Year 5 Drama Workshop focused on environmental problems – here the children are discussing which they believe the top 5 to be. Then showing the environmental problem as a dramatic image.

X Factor!

Year 5 & 6 are really enjoying Pop Choir, singing and dancing their hearts out at their after school activity club.
