Football

The U13 team played against Millthorpe school on Tuesday evening. In a competitive game the team played some very good football to eventually win 6-1.

Basketball

The U18 team played against Woodhouse Grove School on Wednesday afternoon. The game was a really good spectacle with both teams shooting well. Bootham proved too strong for the opposition in the end to run out 67-54 winners. Aidan Cardow had a fantastic game with 19 individual points.

Two U12 teams came first and second in a mini-tournament against Vale of York and Tadcaster on Thursday evening.

Netball

We had numerous fixtures against Queen Margaret’s this week – on Monday they came to Bootham with U12 A&B teams, both teams evenly matched ending in 3-3 draws. On the same afternoon we took our U13 A&B teams to QM’s – the B team narrowly lost with the last shot of the match 3-4, but the A team proved too strong for their opposition and won 7-3.

It was the turn of the U18’s to visit Queen Margaret’s on Wednesday – a hard fought match in the first 3 quarters, with the score 15-14 to our girls, but they found another gear in the final quarter and ran away with the game, ending up 22-15 winners.

The U15 team played at Queen Margaret’s on Thursday – they proved way too strong for their opposition and won 20-3, Ellen Gordon simply couldn’t miss and scored 19 of our 20 goals.

Badminton

The Senior badminton players went with the netballers on Wednesday to play at Queen Margaret’s, we took a mixed team and they managed to win every set they played!
