The U18 team played against the Mount on the 11th – a fantastic win for our team 22-7. The U13 A&B team played 2 great matches against Arch Bishop’s – a win for the B’s 12-5.

Our U14 and U16 teams played the Mount on the 18th – the U14’s won 17-9 and the U 16’s narrowly lost against a combined U18/U16 team 18-21.

The 1st XI had a very competitive game against Merchant Taylors School from Liverpool in the ISFA National competition on Wednesday. Bootham played some good football but were unable to finish off some good chances. The game finished 4-2 to the visitors.

The U13 team have played some really good football during the last two games. On Wednesday they had a 5-3 defeat against Joseph Rowntree School. Bootham’s goals came from Noah Rowntree (2) and Zac Edwards

The U12s had two teams out in the Bootham 7s competition on Tuesday. Both team showed a lot of promise with the A team coming second out of the six teams involved (on goal difference only).

The U13 Girls teams also put out two teams in the Bootham U13 ‘7s’ tournament. The A team managed three wins and two draws to gain an overall 4th place out of the 12 teams. Close to a hundred girls were involved in a fantastic event. Read more here.

Last Saturday morning saw football coaching for Lower and Middle Schoolroom girls with Gordon Staniforth.  Former professional, Gordon works for the FA educating coaches. He gave two inspirational sessions to the girls.
