The U14 team matched the U16 team’s success this week in winning the York and District basketball final against All Saints. The team lost to the same team last year, but have worked hard all year to develop and progress and deservedly won the close game. They will now go on to the county event to represent the York area.

The U15 team won the Shield competition on Wednesday beating Vale of York in a very physical game. The game was close up until the final quarter when Bootham’s depth of squad proved too strong for the opposition.

Four teams travelled to Leeds Grammar School on Saturday. There were wins for the U12s and U15s and defeats for the U13s and U15s. It was great to see over 40 Bootham boys playing football on a Saturday afternoon and competing well.

The U14/15 girls played in a tournament at Sherburn on Thursday evening. The girls played well but were up against much more physical opposition.

The U13s A and B teams had two good wins against Terrington on Wednesday evening. The A team were too strong for the opposition whilst the B team had a very close game but ran out winners.
