As a school we are well known for having a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental care. We hold the Eco-Schools Green Flag accreditation in recognition of BEAST’s (Bootham Environmental And Sustainable Team) hard work and commitment to operate as environmentally friendly as possible.

We were therefore very excited when our web hosts at We Are HA told us that our website is now powered by 100% renewable energy, sourced by wind and hydro assets. With their help they also made the website perform in a more environmentally friendly way, by reducing the amount of data being stored and transferred. Making our website perform up to 200 times faster. With the internet being the biggest polluter, reducing our online carbon footprint means we know that we are contributing towards a much greener future.
