Dedicated Geographers!
Despite the brutally cold winds earlier this week College 1 Geographers braved the wilds of North Yorkshire for their residential field trip. The students investigated water and carbon cycles, the glacial and periglacial history of the region and learned how to investigate microclimates. Based at the cosy Cranedale Centre in the tiny Wolds village of Kirby Grindalythe.
The students are now set up to start planning their NEA work which makes up 20% of their A level.
