Working 7.30am to 2.30pm on Saturdays

and on a rota for Sundays (probably one in 3 or 4) during school term time plus some weekends in the school summer holidays

We are seeking three Catering Assistants to support our Weekend Chef on Saturdays or Sundays with food preparation (including an extensive range of salads, sandwiches, and fruits), to serve ‘front of house’, to clear pots, work in the wash-up area and clean the dining room and kitchen to the standards directed.   You must be able to work in a calm and friendly manner, use your own initiative and provide excellent customer service to our diverse student population. Previous catering experience is preferred but training will be given. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a busy and friendly catering team.

At Bootham School we pride ourselves on the high quality and extensive range of our meals. This is not typical school catering! At the weekend our staff and boarders enjoy breakfast, Sunday brunch and evening meals.  Saturday lunch caters for over 500 students, parents and staff, and is an opportunity for the catering team to showcase their culinary skills.  During the summer, the school caters for a wide range of visiting groups who hire our facilities.
