The U14 team had a fantastic 44-2 win against Thirsk on Monday. The whole team played really well to gain a deserved victory. The 1st team played their best netball of the season but lost out to Ripon Grammar on Wednesday afternoon 24-10.


The U13 team beat a St Olave’s team 7-1 on Thursday whilst the U12s also had a 1-0 win against St Olave’s on the same evening.


The U14 team beat Millthorpe by 83-16 on Tuesday evening. Millthorpe could not cope with the high-intensity play from the U14 team.


The U12 team had a fantastic 6-2 win against Sherburn on Wednesday in the district league. Ben Scurrah-Smyth scored four of Bootham’s goals. The U14 team played against Thirsk on Monday evening and had a very good game, just losing out 3-1.

The 1st XI had two good wins this week. They beat Ripon Grammar in ESFA cup last Friday (5-3) and also beat Fulford (2-1) in the District league on Wednesday of this week. Both goals in the Fulford game came from Harry Loseby, whilst Harry scored two and Louis Otterburn scored two each against Ripon.

Cross Country

Bootham had 25 competitors in the X-Country Championships at York University on Thursday, in very demanding conditions and a tough course there were some outstanding performances including: Ben Scurrah-Smyth (8th year 7), Robert Coad (9th year 7), Lilly Butterworth (9th year 7), Bella Sharp (8th Inter) Yelena Davis (8th Inter) Theo Lindridge (15th Junior)
