Zac Edwards competed for Bootham at the National Schools Equestrian event at Addington Manor over half term. Zac performed two double clears in both competitions entered. Furthermore, in the main event, he got a super-fast jump off time to secure 26th place out of 71 competitors. A brilliant effort from Zac!


The U16 team reached the 3rd round of the ESFA competition on Thursday with a 3-0 win against Ripon Grammar. Aidan Cardow, Ben McCartney and Oscar Manners scored Bootham goals.

The U12 team had two games this week. They played really well in both but were defeated 7-4 away to Wetherby in the English Schools FA National competition, and then narrowly lost 2-1 against Thirsk on Thursday.


The College House competition took place on Wednesday. The games were played in a great spirit, with Pendle becoming eventual winners.


The College team played mixed doubles against St Peter’s on Wednesday. The standard of badminton was very high with Bootham securing a 6-6 draw.


The U15 team played well in the area tournament on Tuesday. The U14 team had a win and a loss against The Mount and St Peter’s in a triangular tournament on Wednesday.
