1st XI before their 4-3 victory against John Lyon School, Harrow

The 1st XI had a long trip to Harrow on Wednesday to play against John Lyon School in the second round of the ISFA U18 competition. On a beautiful day the team had a great first half and went in half time 4-2 (goals from Dan Raubitschek, Josh Chan, Harry Loseby and Joe Fielding) . The team however tired in the second half but managed to hang on to a 4-3 victory. The third round draw was live on Thursday evening with Bootham gaining a home draw against Highgate School, London. The game will take place this Wednesday at 1.30pm on the Senior School pitch.  Spectators welcome!

The U15 team played against Ripon Grammar School on Monday evening in the English Schools National tournament. The team played well and managed a 2-1 win to progress to the next round of the competition. The U16 team played out a 0-0 draw on Tuesday against All Saints in the York and District league. Both defences were on top throughout the hard fought game.

An U12 A and B team played in an inaugural ‘Bootham 7s’ tournament on Thursday. 16 matches were played in great spirit with Joseph Rowntree eventually winning the event.

Hockey

Middle Schoolroom students finished 4th at the IN2 Hockey Tournament on Thursday.

The U14 girls hockey played at the regional stages of a national schools hockey tournament. On a very sunny afternoon the girls played some good hockey to win three of their games and come over all third.

Netball

U19 girls netball team competed in the regional stages of a national schools netball tournament on Wednesday. With a tough draw, the girls put in some good performances.
