Cricket
The 1st XI played against Hull Collegiate on Wednesday. Bootham batted first and scored 139-3 with Ben Exall scoring 50 not out and Alistair Search scoring 42. Bootham then bowled well gaining 9 wickets, however Hull managed to increase their run rate during the last five overs to close in on the total. The game came down to the last ball with Hull needing three runs. Angus Cockerill however bowled a good final ball and Bootham won the game by two runs.

The Schoolrooms house competition was completed this week and it was won by Firbank.

Tennis
The U18 tennis team travelled to Pocklington on Wednesday. The team were missing two players and lost 4-2 in sets. Finn Van Der Voort however beat their number one seed whilst Finn and Luke Conkleton beat their 1 and 2 seed at doubles.

Basketball
Congratulations to Will Abbas (Lower Schoolroom) who has been selected to represent the County at U13 Basketball.

Netball
Last Saturday, the U12 netball team played in their round of the York and District Tournament (postponed from last term due to snow!). A lovely morning was had by all, although we didn’t make to the final our girls played well and showed some good skills.
The U15/16 team played a friendly match against Queen Mary’s on Thursday – a fantastic victory for our girls 17-5.

Rounders
The U12 and U13 teams played against Terrington Hall school last week, some good batting and fielding skills were on show from both school. Unfortunately we lost both games.
