The 1st XI qualified for the semi-final of the County league competition last Wednesday in a dramatic victory against Stokesley School. Bootham took an early lead through Louis Otterburn but found themselves 2-1 behind late in the second half.  With one minute to go, Harry Loseby equalised for Bootham and then also gained a last gasp winner in injury time to take Bootham through to the semi-finals.

Bootham were involved in two district finals last week but unfortunately narrowly lost out in both. The U13 team did not play to their full potential against All Saints on Tuesday and lost by 10 points. The U14 team unfortunately were hit by injuries in their final against Tadcaster on Thursday having gone unbeaten throughout the season. The team lost 70-49. Congratulations however to both teams for a very successful and enjoyable season.

This week the U16 basketball team have a district and county final. The U15 team also have a district final on Tuesday.

Good luck to the boys in these finals!

Last Wednesday the U18 team played against two teams from Woodhouse Grove – some very skillful and fast paced netball was on show. The matches ended in one win for the Woodhouse Grove team and one for the Bootham team.

Also on Wednesday, we welcomed two teams from Huntington to play against our U15 teams – both games were tough and the opposition proved too strong on this occasion.
