U15 Basketball team victorious on Thursday. As were the U18s and U13s this week!

The U15 team played against an older age group Ackworth team on Thursday evening. The game was very competitive with Bootham moving the ball well offensively. The team eventually ran out 42-35 winners to keep their unbeaten record intact.  Jamie Brierley scored 23 individual points. The U18 team had their first game of the season against Scarborough College on Wednesday. The game was another close affair with Bootham winning by 50-42. The U13 team played against All Saints on Tuesday evening and managed a 35-13 victory. All the squad got a good run out in a competitive game.

The 1st XI played against Scarborough College on Wednesday afternoon. The team played some outstanding football and managed an 11-0 victory. The U14 team played away against Sherburn on Monday evening. The game was 0-0 in the first half, however Bootham conceded two late goals to lose 2-0.

1st XI: 11-0 victory v Scarborough College on Wednesday

On Tuesday 20th November the girls U13 and U14 teams played against the Mount. Two great games with some fantastic netball played, ending in wins for both our teams 13-2 and 6-0 respectively.

The girls U12 team played an indoor 5 a-side mini tournament on Monday 19th November at Bootham. They played 3 matches, no wins but some good improving skills on show and a great experience for all.

The 1st XI played away against The Mount on Monday 19th November, a loss 1-0 for our girls but the scoreline does not reflect the game. The first half was a very even affair, unfortunately the opposition scored an early goal to go ahead. We dominated the second half, spending most of it in the opposition’s half and circle but were unable to benefit from this. A great game but an unlucky result.

The U15 team played in a triangular fixture on Thursday 22nd November, two well battled matches with some lovely skills on show but both ending in narrow losses for our girls.

We visited The Mount on Wednesday with our U13, U14 and Senior girls. A great gala, with some very close races, unfortunately ended in a loss for our girls.

Well done to all who represented school in these fixtures!
