Sport at Bootham

Another great week in terms of sport at Bootham with winning results across the board in Football, Basketball and Netball.  Keep up the good work all!

The 1st XI continued their 8 match unbeaten run with a 3-0 victory against All Saints in the District league on Wednesday. The whole team performed well with goals coming from Eddie Monkman, Louis Otterburn and Aidan Cardow. Man of the match was George Bristow.

There were three games played this week and three wins. The U14 team had a 71-16 victory against Manor, the U13 team had a 25-10 win against Boston Spa and the U16 team had a 36-22 win against Joseph Rowntree School. Well done all basketball players and good luck as the play-off season approaches.

The U13 team had a narrow 2-1 loss against Joseph Rowntree School on Tuesday evening.

The netball teams have had a very successful week and all the teams are making really good progress. The U18 A team played against a St Peter’s team on Wednesday afternoon and had a very good 23-20 win. The B team narrowly lost 31-28. The U15 team also beat a St Peter’s team on Wednesday (11-4) and the U14s had a really close 15-14 win against the same opposition.
