Year 5 had a fantastic day at Jodrell Bank Centre. They had the opportunity to engage in a workshop about “Space Travel”.  They also visited various interactive exhibitions, building on and stretching their school learning.

The Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics is the research centre of The University of Manchester. In addition it operates e-MERLIN, the UK’s national radio astronomy facility. Furthermore, Jodrell Bank is a world leader in radio astronomy-related research and technology development. As well as combining research with out-of-classroom education aimed at inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers in space travel.
