Students Hannah and Anna were the overall winners of a competition at the University of York on Monday. Against stiff competition from several other schools, their psychology research project quality attracted the judges. They presented their work as a scientific poster and research presentation. They had polled Bootham students asking whether a positive or negative message would be more persuasive and found that their predictions did not bear out in the real world.
