All Middle and Upper Schoolroom students, along with some Seniors and College students, practised their CPR skills before half term. Led by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, the national event took place at Bootham School with volunteers from the Fire Brigade, York District Hospital and community first responders. Along with much fun, students learnt the potentially life-saving skill of how to preserve life by doing cardiopulmonary resuscitation until further help can be sought. We even had a visit from the Queen’s representative, a deputy Lord Lieutenant!
