A Journey back in time..

Year 4 invited their parents to the opening of their “Journey Back to Prehistoric Past” exhibition. The children turned their classroom into a museum and treated their guests with an erudite guided tour. They particularly enjoyed designing a quiz to test their parents’ knowledge of the Stone Age to Iron Age period. Their souvenir shop raised £38, which will be donated to the school’s charity “The Dragonfly Schools Foundation”.

Well done Year 4!

Outdoor Ed

Year 3 didn’t let the weather put them off and had a great day making decorations and toasting marshmallows in the woods!

St Nikolaus

Year 3 were busy baking gingerbread to prepare for the German Christmas Market they held for their families last week!

Year 3 then invited their parents to a German Christmas market, where they sang some German carols and sold biscuits and decorations they had made, raising a total of £50.23 for the Dragonfly Schools Foundation. They also put their boots out for St Nikolaus, and found they had been filled with sweets the next morning!

Survival of the fittest?

Year 6 learnt about Darwin’s finches on the Galapagos – it involved an island map, different sized bulldog clips, a range of nuts and seeds and some serious survival strategies!
