It's never too early to set children on the right path to a life of healthy eating. That's why our chef is more than just someone who provides tasty, nutritious food; he and his team actively involve the children in recipe and meal design, promoting healthy eating principles along the way.
Trained at Betty's, our chef produces enticing menus. We offer a wide choice of hot and cold food, with plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables and salad. We cater for vegetarians and those with religious or medical dietary needs. Our weekly menus are displayed on our notice board. Parents are also welcome to book in for lunch once a term.
During the morning children are offered a healthy snack and a drink of water or milk. Drinking water is available throughout the day and lunch is served at 12.00 noon. Children are encouraged to use cutlery correctly, to be polite and to try a little of everything on their plate.
On the rare occasion that a child refuses to try anything, they will be offered fruit as an alternative. If there is a food your child does not like, please make us aware and we can offer a suitable alternative. Parents are asked not to send food or drink to school with their child, other than a water bottle.
