Real or Fake Challenge
Can you tell the difference? Students at Bootham were challenged with creating real or fake psychology studies. In the era of ‘fake news’ we would like to conduct our own research into whether people can tell the difference. Vote on whether you think each one is a real study – you don’t need to look it up as we will reveal whether they are real or fake next time we post a real/fake challenge. Besides we have faked the researchers names in both studies anyway so that you can’t cheat easily. Maybe both are real or neither of them…you decide!

Great idea !
Paper B is the real McCoy. It is based on concrete objects,
and demonstrates that fewer toys increase creativity in small children.
Paper A is much too general and is based on value judgements about self-control, rather than a clear judgement of reality.
