The Solution to plastic is here…

Bootham School has committed to becoming involved with the ‘Eco bricks’ campaign. An Ecobrick is a reusable building block created by packing clean and dry used plastic into a plastic bottle to a set density. Ecobricks enable us to take personal responsibility for our plastic. The Ecobricks will then be used in school to create several projects and ensure that we are recycling our own waste.

Bootham School Council (follow us on Instagram) discussed getting involved with this campaign and over the next few days, there will be bins put across the school where students and staff can put plastic rubbish (including the plastic bottles).  The contents of the bins will then be used to create the Ecobricks.

There will be lunch time activities held for students to create the bricks and in tutor time, each form will have a large bottle to fill as a form.
