Permanent post working 11.30am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays

At Bootham School we pride ourselves on the high quality and extensive range of our meals. This is not typical school catering! Many of our students are boarders, and we provide breakfasts, lunches and evening meals plus catering for a wide range of school functions involving parents, staff and visitors.

Weekday lunchtimes cater for around 600 covers and we offer homemade soups, two hot meat/fish choices, a vegetarian hot choice, an extensive range of quality salads, sandwiches and hot and cold desserts. Our evening meals cater for up to 150 covers.

During the school summer holidays, the school caters for a wide range of visiting groups who hire our facilities.

We are seeking a qualified Chef, experienced in quality volume food preparation, with a good knowledge of catering for various dietary needs and fully aware of all allergy requirements.  You must be able to work in a calm and friendly manner with a busy catering team, and provide excellent customer service to our diverse student population.
