College 1 students studying A levels in Economics, Business or Politics enjoyed a visit from the Bank of England’s Regional Agent – Juliette Healey.  Juliette gave an up to date and informative presentation on the role of the Bank in terms of both Financial Stability and Monetary Policy.  She reminded us about the strengths of the UK economy and the reasons for the current low interest rate.  Juliette has also ignited debate on the risks currently connected with the US and Chinese economies and the UK. In addition students were also asked to consider the possible impacts of Brexit.

We were very grateful for the chance to meet Juliette and further our macro economic knowledge.  We intend to make this an annual event and look forward to welcoming her back next year.
