On Friday 9th March Bootham School’s Charity Committee organised a bake sale to raise money for their Charity of the Term, Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the world’s leading children’s hospital. They are the largest dedicated funder of paediatric research in the UK. The charity supports ground-breaking research into the development of new treatments and funds the most up-to-date equipment. They also provide accommodation and other support services for children and their families whilst at hospital.

Staff, parents and students all baked a brilliant selection of cakes, biscuits, brownies and buns. The event raised a wonderful £46.11 for the charity.

Also £193.33 was given in collections following Spring Concert which will be split equally between Great Ormond Street Hospital and Amnesty International.
