Offering excellent conference facilities in the heart of historic York plus further facilities in Clifton.

Bootham School Estates Limited provides excellent conference facilities and a very warm welcome to visitors.

Enjoying a beautiful nine acre campus, laid out in lawns, flower beds and trees, it is hard to believe that we are only 300 metres from York Minster. Car parking is available for around 100 cars. The school can offer facilities for both residential and non residential events. Previous groups have included the BBC Youth Parliament, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, Women’s’ Royal Voluntary Service, Royal Geographical Society and many of the visiting choirs who come each summer to sing in York Minster. A short 20 minutes walk away is Bootham Junior School, Rawcliffe Lane, Clifton. This purpose built school, with 15 acres of sports pitches plus car parking, also provides excellent facilities as a multi-purpose venue.

For Meetings and Conferences

Assembly Hall:

Seats 450 and is equipped with PA system, projector, full theatre stage with lighting, concert grand piano and dressing rooms. The Junior School hall offers a smaller space and more intimate surroundings.

Seminar Rooms:

Seating up to 30 with whiteboards, projectors and video facilities.

Music Department:

This facility contains a large rehearsal room with grand piano and seating for 40, plus a classroom and various small practice rooms.

Dining Hall:

For 200 plus diners

Georgian Reception Suite:

Two elegantly furnished Georgian reception rooms leading off from a wide hall. This is a very attractive self-contained function area for meetings or entertaining and gives access directly on to the main street. The Recital Room, once a Georgian ballroom, provides a further taste of elegance in a separate area of the estate.
