The Bootham Curriculum goes significantly further than the requirements for each year band of the National Curriculum.

Lower and Middle Schoolrooms (Years 7 and 8)
All pupils take English (including Drama), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Classical Studies (becoming Latin in Year 8), French, Religious Studies, Art, Ceramics, Music, Design and Technology, Information Technology, Physical Education and Health Education.

Upper Schoolrooms (Year 9)
All pupils take English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French, Spanish, Latin or Classical Studies, Geography, History, Religious Studies, Art, Music, Design and Technology, Careers and Physical Education. Information Technology is integrated throughout the curriculum.
