Rowntree is a great 'home-from-home': with all your friends around you, you'll be right in the centre of the campus - so everything's here. The staff team, including housemistress  Carol Campbell and deputy Fiona Dunlop really take care of you, whether you're a 'first-time away from home' and needing a bit of tender loving care or a super confident sixth former who may just need someone to chat to from time to time.
The buildings are Georgian, covering three town houses with real character. All the bedrooms have been recently redecorated so it's bright and fresh. The sixth form apartments make 'College' years, as we call them, a preparation for university; but the best thing is the atmosphere of genuine friendliness; that's why girls who come to Bootham find they settle in amazingly quickly.
