Autumn Term
Christmas Fair A myriad of stalls with great gift ideas for Christmas. Carols by Candlelight
This family event of carols and readings is held in the Hall on the
Sunday preceding the end of the autumn term, and this year will be held on Sunday 5th December 2010 at 7.30 p.m. There is a wonderful Christmas
atmosphere on this evening followed by coffee and mince pies in the
dining room. This intimate service has become synonymous with the start
of Christmas for many families at Bootham. All are welcome.
Spring Term Spring Fair
A myriad of stalls and refreshments. Organised by a non BSA parent
for School fund raising purposes but supported by the BSA.
Summer Term June - Midsummer Ball
The traditional end of year celebration for pupils of College One and
Two BSA parents and Bootham School staff. It is usually held on a Saturday
just before the end of term. Dinner, dancing and live music make this
the Black Tie event of the social calendar.
The theme and menu are chosen by the Head Boys and
Girls. A cash bar for the purchase of drinks
and wine is available.

mornings from 8.30am. Usually held in the Committee Room in the main
building. All family members welcome (apart from Bootham students!) The Book Club
The Book Club is run entirely by its members and meets in the school
Committee Room. Everyone contributes to a reading list and all opinions,
positive and negative are enthusiastically discussed over coffee and
chocolate biscuits. New members are always welcome.
The latest book to be read and the date of the next
meeting is usually displayed on the BSA notice board in the school yard.
Other events may happen throughout the year and
