The Bootham School Register 2010 – a Published Book of All Old Scholars

Your place recorded in history!
The Old Scholars Association is funding the production of a new edition of the Bootham School Register, a book which lists all Old Scholars.
There have been three previous Registers: 1914, 1935 and 1971. The Registers contain details of pupils going right back to the foundation of the school in the 1820s, and are an irreplaceable source of historical information about the school and its Old Scholars. They are used routinely in the school archives when dealing with queries such as family history research. In the forty years since the last Register was produced nearly 3,000 scholars have passed through the school.
The new edition of the Register is being printed. Therefore it is now too late to submit any more updates. Thank you to everyone who has sent in information for their entries.
Copies will be available at the Old Scholars Reunion in May 2012, and after this either by post (a charge will be made for postage and packaging) or collection from the school. Check page 48 of Bootham 2011 magazine or contact Jenny Woodland for details.
Following a number of enquiries by Old Scholars, we hope to make the Register available online in due course, to make it accessible to more Old Scholars. If you have any comments, or would not want your entry to be included in an online version, please let Jenny Woodland know at woodlandj@boothamschool.com.
