BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE NEWS At Bootham Junior School, we offer Before and After School Care for all pupils. Before School Care is offered for children from 8.00 a.m. onwards. After School Care is offered from 3.00 p.m. until 6.00 p.m. on each school day, except the last day of the term. Both can be used on a regular or ad-hoc basis, should parents find themselves unexpectedly unable to collect their child at the usual end-of-school time. A continental style breakfast is available in our school hall between 8.00 a.m. until 8.20 a.m. each morning. The cost is £1.00 per breakfast in addition to the usual cost of Before School Care. BREAKFAST MENU
Shelley Roper and Linda Salkeld are responsible for the supervision of children in our Before School Care sessions. In After School Care, there are four supervisors, Linda Salkeld, Shelley Roper Claire Little and Louise Carney. After School Care takes place in the Nursery Classroom. In fine weather, children are able to take advantage of the fresh air and play outside in the playground areas. A variety of indoor activities are on offer, including board games, colouring and painting, story-reading or just relaxing. At 4.30 p.m. every day, a light snack and fruit are offered to the children, but – of course – this is not a substitute for tea. POLICIES, INSURANCE AND PLANNING
