Boarding: includes both Full Boarders (7 nights per week) or Weekly Boarders (4-6 nights per week) Flexi-Boarding: 2 or 3 consecutive nights per week Day: includes both Day Pupils who leave at 5.30 pm and Day Boarders who stay for the evening meal and supervised preparation and leave between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm. Bursary Assistance from the Bootham School Trust Bootham School offers bursary help to enable Friend (Quaker) children to attend the School. Assessments are carried out following the completion of a means test and the assessment process may also include a home visit. Applications for bursaries need to be made by the middle of November for entry the following September. Scholarships Academic Scholarships of 5% fee remission of a day fee are available by competition to suitably qualified applicants for entry at 11+, 13+ and 16+ (Years 7, 9 and 12). Up to four John Bright Memorial Boarding Scholarships of 5% fee remission of a boarding fee are also available each year, by competition amongst Full/Weekly Boarding applicants. Music Scholarships of up to 50% fee remission of a day fee are available by competition to suitably qualified applicants for entry at 11+ and 13+ (Years 7 and 9). Scholarship funding may be increased through the provision, where appropriate, of a bursary, which will be subject to means testing.
