Scholarship funding may be increased through the provision, where appropriate, of a bursary, which will be subject to means testing.

Tenability of Scholarships and Awards
All Scholarships, unless otherwise specified, are tenable throughout a pupil's school career, as long as satisfactory progress is maintained. The bursary element of an award is subject to annual means testing where appropriate. Music Award holders are expected to play a full part in the School's musical activities as required.
Applicants for a Bootham Scholarship, Bursary or Award must inform the Head of any other scholarships, bursaries or awards for which they may be candidates elsewhere. Applicants who accept the offer of a Bootham Scholarship or bursary award must then withdraw applications for any other schools.
Entrance Awards are special awards which apply to the first
