The Christmas Stuffing Party
- where you come and help us stuff the Bootham Magazine and catch up with old friends over lunch.  This is usually the first Tuesday of the Christmas holidays email oldscholars@boothamschool.com for details.

The Annual Reunion is held at Bootham School during the second week-end in May. All Old Scholars and their families are invited to this fun and informal event. A truly wonderful 2008 Old Scholars' Reunion Weekend was enjoyed by the many who came along on what was a spectacular summer's day. There were girls celebrating 25 years since the first intake back in 1984, and a huge turnout of 1988 leavers and their families, meant that the bouncy castle, face painting and ice cream van were kept very busy indeed.

On Friday evening around 40 people enjoyed the music concert in the School Hall; special thanks to Richard Burton for all his work in making this happen. During the AGM, David Bayes (1957-1964) was inducted as BOSA President. Val and Michael Allen were thanked for all their hard work as Joint Presidents for the past 2 years. The AGM was followed by a fantastic review of the 'Year at Bootham' by Head Reeves Brittany Mandy and James Wilson. David Robinson then had his work cut out taking the Old Scholars' photographs, which for the first time in years, needed two sittings to fit everyone in. On Saturday evening around 80 people attended the Bootham and Mount Old Scholars' Dinner at York Racecourse.

For some it was their first return visit after leaving school, and after such a fun day it certainly won't be their last. The smiles and the laughter on day were infectious and left everyone uplifted. In between the tours of old studies and classrooms, discussions about the improved quality of school food and even a few apologies to staff for bad behaviour, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses were being swapped and future meetings planned. This is what Bootham Old Scholars' is all about: we hope to see you at next year's event.

The next Annual Reunion Week-end is on 7th, 9th and 10th and May 2009.  To view our reunion programme click here
